Job Title:  Occupational Therapist (Part time)
Area:  Gloucestershire Social Services
Salary: £negotiable
Job Type: Locum
Contract Length: Ongoing
Job details:  Occupational Therapist required for minimum 6-month contract. To work in the community to assess people in their own home across the county. This will include assisting with any therapy needs and supporting with ordering any equipment required.
Key duties and responsibilities will include the ability to create, review and amend patient centred goal plans, thus enabling independence and improvements in quality of life. There may be some aspects of bed management and coordination within the position.
A clear and valid driving licence is a requirement for this role as it involves county-wide travel.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate empathy and be dedicated to encouraging independence. They will listen to others and communicate with sensitivity and understanding, and act with integrity, honesty and impartiality. Skills/experience:
• Registered with HCPC and RCOT
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Experience of working as a registered Occupational Therapist for at least 18 months or equivalent competency through prior experience
• Specialist training or equivalent competency in environmental adaptations or equivalent experience
Working hours: Part time role. 22.2 hours per week.
