Job details:  Paediatric Occupational Therapist required. Hybrid working – with expectation to be in the office 2 days a week, client/service user onsite visits are expected, candidate needs to be car a driver with access to own vehicle
Manage a complex and diverse caseload, including assessments of need, care planning, implementation of appropriate intervention to include the preparation of complex reports, within a framework of supervision, to effectively meet the needs of children who have permanent and substantial disabilities. To contribute to and apply the Council’s strategy to support vulnerable children and families. • To ensure service is delivered in line with councils’ principles and values of working with partners, children and families To contribute to the assessment of more complex placement needs of children and young people, and
family find for them according to their needs.
• Advise and assist the Child’s Social Worker, in preparation of children for placement either individually, or
in groups (specifically for more complex and evasive families)
• To act as Supervising Social Worker to approved carers and provide supervision, support and training and
to maintain local and statutory records. In addition to undertaking complex assessments and family
finding.
• To produce reports, attend planning meetings, panel, court, reviews, team meetings, Psychology Service
meetings and inter-agency meetings as necessary or appropriate.
• To mentor and support less experienced social workers.
• To contribute to service and policy development and lead on identified prioritise

Social Workers have a key role in upholding the rights of people with care and support needs. Social Workers work in line with legislative frameworks to deliver strengths based, person centred practice using the three conversations model. We are looking for aspirational and dynamic qualified Children and Families Social Workers, who are interested in engaging the children in our care in varied and diverse direct work to support them to achieve their permanency plan.
You will be responsible for completing your statutory duties in co ordinating children’s plans, whilst ensuring they are individual to the child’s needs and aspirational in respect of focus, supporting children to engage with their plans and achieve the very best outcomes.
You will be well supported, not only by team coordinators who support you with various administrative tasks, but also by an established and experienced management team. This will afford you opportunities to engage in direct work with your allocated children, to develop restorative relationships and to support children to understand their journey.
You will work alongside our Contact Service, to promote family time, with parents, siblings and significant people for the children in our care, ensuring that children develop strong networks of support as they transition towards independent living.
Permanency planning is key for all our children in care, enabling the opportunity to support children through to Adoption and Special Guardianship, creating development and progression opportunities for Socials Workers.

Job details:  Occupational Therapist required for 37 bedded unit where adults come for a period of rehabilitation to gain independence and function to return safely home. The Occupational therapist will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to assess client’s current function and work with others to provide rehabilitation and safe and timely discharge planning to enable clients to regain independence and safely return home. They will need to undertake environmental access visits to assess the client’s home, so a car driver is preferred. There are 27 generic beds and 10 dementia care beds. The post holder will have a caseload and will be able to work with the MDT. The therapy team consists of OT's, Physio's and Therapy assistants.
