Job details:  2x Occupational Therapists required to start asap.
Role 1) post is for positive steps unit – transferred from Hospital but not ready to go home – 34 bed rehab facility – working 5 mornings there and then the afternoon would be follow up in the community and maybe supporting first contact or supporting on cases in the afternoon or working from home on cases depending on the capacity could be supporting on duty or out on visits would depend on the work – the case load would depend on capacity. 
Role 2) post is to do community case work – would be expected to between 20-25 cases  depending on capacity and complexity – looking for a full time post but would depend on what the working hours are, they would need adaptations, equipment and moving and handling experience – the intervention would the follow up – ideally no less than 3 days and hybrid would be fine – initially  in the office 3 days a week for the induction and training but can be negotiated – no duty work required, when trained can be once a week in the office but again can be negotiated 
Working hours: both roles – Monday – Friday – core working pattern 8-4pm or 08.30- 4.30pm, need to be a car user, preference to have had mosaic experience before

We require an experienced child protection social worker for our Child Protection Service that completes , C&F assessments, Section 7&37, CIN and CP plans along with PLO. Promote the welfare and safeguarding of children, young people and their families in Knowsley. 2. To carry out timely assessments on children, young people and families in accordance with the Framework for Assessment and working together guidance. 3. Ensure assessments and planning for children and young people actively promote the participation and engagement of all relevant agencies, the child/young person and their family. 4. Prepare/formulate care plans for children and young people which take account of their views wishes in the implementation of those care plans. 5. To maintain case records to a high standard and produce reports in accordance with the Service guidance/policy and procedure which reflect national guidelines using the relevant information technology. 6. To ensure that the diverse needs of children, young people and their families are identified, met and regularly reviewed and plans updated to reflect any subsequent changes. 7. To participate in developmental activities as may be required, and to promote improvement of service or the use of resources. 8. Ensure the statutory duties of the Council are fulfilled and met in accordance with legal requirements and Service responsibilities in relation to statutory reviews or instruments in accordance with the particular responsibilities of the post taking into consideration the council’s duty to promote and safeguard a child’s welfare. 9. To pursue appropriate personal and professional training and development opportunities as and when they occur to ensure compliance with GSCC and Directorate standards/expectations. 10. To comply with all the Council’s Standing orders and Financial regulations.. 11. To contribute to and apply the Council’s strategy to support vulnerable children and families. • To ensure service is delivered in line with councils’ principles and values of working with partners, children and families To contribute to the assessment of more complex placement needs of children and young people, and
family find for them according to their needs.
• Advise and assist the Child’s Social Worker, in preparation of children for placement either individually, or
in groups (specifically for more complex and evasive families)
• To act as Supervising Social Worker to approved carers and provide supervision, support and training and
to maintain local and statutory records. In addition to undertaking complex assessments and family
finding.
• To produce reports, attend planning meetings, panel, court, reviews, team meetings, Psychology Service
meetings and inter-agency meetings as necessary or appropriate.
• To mentor and support less experienced social workers.
• To contribute to service and policy development and lead on identified prioritise

To operate as the senior professional within the team and deputise for the Team Manager in their absence as appropriate. To undertake a range of statutory duties in accordance with legislation with adults
and their carers; and provide specialist evidence-based interventions.

• To provide professional consultation, direction and support to team members on
  existing cases daily.
   
• Carry a caseload of individual people and families where the problems presented
  are consistently challenging and complex and require advanced level of skills and
  knowledge.
   
• To undertake joint working on cases with team members where these are more
  complex and/or assisting with the development of areas of practitioner
  competence.
   
• To provide practice learning opportunities to social work or occupational therapy
  students (and, where appropriate, AMHP trainees) by directly
  supervising/assessing the student

• Promote independence and reduce risks for Adults with disabilities living in Doncaster. Work with the social model of disability and use evidence-based practice to carry out person centre assessments to identify need and take appropriate action. Use person centred methods that respect individual values, cultures and diversity to identify needs and devise individual interventions to meet need.  Where statutory provision is not appropriate offer information and advice around self-directed support.
• There is a requirement to provide a high quality, evidence-based, Integrated Community Equipment and Adaptations Service to people in their own homes which will be achieved by carrying a complex caseload and using a robust performance management framework to ensure effective service delivery by all officers working in the service.
• This service is target driven with a clear focus on activity and performance. The post holder is required to meet performance targets, actively participate in the data capture process and report to the Deputy Principal OT / Principal OT when targets are not met.
• To provide expert clinical knowledge on manual handling issues and support other colleagues with the most complex manual handling cases.
