RORY TEST CT38 Assist the Team Manager in providing high quality services to people, families, and carers in accordance with relevant legislation and policy. To operate as the senior professional within the team and deputise for the Team Manager in their absence as appropriate. To contribute to and apply the Council’s strategy to support vulnerable children and families. • To ensure service is delivered in line with councils’ principles and values of working with partners, children and families To contribute to the assessment of more complex placement needs of children and young people, and family find for them according to their needs. • Advise and assist the Child’s Social Worker, in preparation of children for placement either individually, or in groups (specifically for more complex and evasive families) • To act as Supervising Social Worker to approved carers and provide supervision, support and training and to maintain local and statutory records. In addition to undertaking complex assessments and family finding. • To produce reports, attend planning meetings, panel, court, reviews, team meetings, Psychology Service meetings and inter-agency meetings as necessary or appropriate. • To mentor and support less experienced social workers. • To contribute to service and policy development and lead on identified prioritise

Independent Living Centre. The worker will be based in the Community Occupational Therapy team and will be responsible for an allocated caseload of customers with complex needs. The role includes the completion of assessments of customers to identify their needs this will include functional assessments, assessments and provision of assistive equipment and adaptations including Disabled Facilities Grants working alongside colleagues in the Home Improvement Agency. The role includes a combination of adults and children, providing holistic assessments of the customer identifying areas of need and ensuring that appropriate provision is made to improve quality of life. Responsibilities include the ability to refer customers to other services and to provide high quality records of all assessments on the council I.T. system, taking responsibility for data input.
