ATM/DTM (Assistant Team Manager / Deputy Team Manager)

Assist the Team Manager in providing high quality services to people, families, and carers in accordance with relevant legislation and policy. To operate as the senior professional within the team and deputise for the Team Manager in their absence as appropriate. To undertake a range of statutory duties in accordance with legislation with adults
and their carers; and provide specialist evidence-based interventions.

 

  • To provide professional consultation, direction and support to team members on
    existing cases daily.

     
  • Carry a caseload of individual people and families where the problems presented
    are consistently challenging and complex and require advanced level of skills and
    knowledge.

     
  • To undertake joint working on cases with team members where these are more
    complex and/or assisting with the development of areas of practitioner
    competence.

     
  • To provide practice learning opportunities to social work or occupational therapy
    students (and, where appropriate, AMHP trainees) by directly
    supervising/assessing the student

Job details:  Occupational Therapist required to cover vacancy. Independent Living Centre. The worker will be based in the Community Occupational Therapy team and will be responsible for an allocated caseload of customers with complex needs.
The role includes the completion of assessments of customers to identify their needs this will include functional assessments, assessments and provision of assistive equipment and adaptations including Disabled Facilities Grants working alongside colleagues in the Home Improvement Agency.
The role includes a combination of adults and children, providing holistic assessments of the customer identifying areas of need and ensuring that appropriate provision is made to improve quality of life.
Responsibilities include the ability to refer customers to other services and to provide high quality records of all assessments on the council I.T. system, taking responsibility for data input.
There is a requirement to work alongside Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy colleagues, Senior Practitioners, and the Team Manager to deliver an effective, safe, high-quality service. Agile working – negotiable with manager.
Requirements:
* Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Enhanced DBS – adults and children
* Full clean driving licence
* Own car insured for business use.
Working hours: 37 hours per week. Flexible working hours are available.
