ATM/DTM (Assistant Team Manager / Deputy Team Manager)
Assist the Team Manager in providing high quality services to people, families, and carers in accordance with relevant legislation and policy. To operate as the senior professional within the team and deputise for the Team Manager in their absence as appropriate. To undertake a range of statutory duties in accordance with legislation with adults and their carers; and provide specialist evidence-based interventions.
To provide professional consultation, direction and support to team members on existing cases daily.
Carry a caseload of individual people and families where the problems presented are consistently challenging and complex and require advanced level of skills and knowledge.
To undertake joint working on cases with team members where these are more complex and/or assisting with the development of areas of practitioner competence.
To provide practice learning opportunities to social work or occupational therapy students (and, where appropriate, AMHP trainees) by directly supervising/assessing the student
To contribute to and apply the Council’s strategy to support vulnerable children and families. • To ensure service is delivered in line with councils’ principles and values of working with partners, children and families To contribute to the assessment of more complex placement needs of children and young people, and family find for them according to their needs. • Advise and assist the Child’s Social Worker, in preparation of children for placement either individually, or in groups (specifically for more complex and evasive families) • To act as Supervising Social Worker to approved carers and provide supervision, support and training and to maintain local and statutory records. In addition to undertaking complex assessments and family finding. • To produce reports, attend planning meetings, panel, court, reviews, team meetings, Psychology Service meetings and inter-agency meetings as necessary or appropriate. • To mentor and support less experienced social workers. • To contribute to service and policy development and lead on identified prioritise
