Job Title: Physiotherapist – Band 6/7 Area: Sussex NHS Salary: £negotiable Job Type: Locum Contract Length: Ongoing Job details: Neurosurgery. Physiotherapist required with experience with Neurosurgical patients. They will be working on the acute neurosurgical ward – 37 bedded ward, that also has ENT and Max fax patients. The patient group includes, traumatic and acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, major trauma and tracheostomies. It would be preferred if they have respiratory experience due to the acute nature of these patients, requiring suction and cough assist. The post holder would be working with the team, which currently consists of a Band 6, Band 5 (rotational) and Band 2. They will work closely with other members of the MDT including, OT, SALT, Rehab co-ordinators, Spinal Practitioners and Nursing staff. The Physiotherapist must have good clinical skills and be of at least band 6 level or equivalent, they must have good communication skills and effective team work. Working hours: 5 days a week.
