Job details: Adult Community Occupational Therapy Service. Occupational Therapy Technician/ OT Assistant required for 6 months. This is a duty role, so the expectation is to be available to compete duty visits as and when required and be based in the office in between visits. Remote working can be considered following discussion once in the role. The Occupational Therapist Assistant will be a key member of the Adult Social Care Community Occupational Therapy Team – duty functions (triage/home visits), providing health and social care services to the local community. The role involves assessing, recommending and providing equipment and minor adaptations and coordinating care for individuals with various needs and working collaboratively with other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in adult social care.
• Assessment: Conduct assessments for minor equipment and adaptations (e.g., grab rails) and complete duty functions as required.
• Care Coordination: Manage a caseload of individuals with diverse and complex needs.
• Collaboration: Work with other professionals to ensure comprehensive provision.
• Data Management: Accurately input information for monitoring and planning purposes.
• Service Efficiency: Aim to provide an efficient and cost-effective service, utilizing appropriate resources from Social Services, Health, the Council, and community organizations.
Requirements: Assessment, recommendation and provision of equipment and minor adaptations. Knowledge of using client recording and management systems i.e. Liquid logic. Working hours: 36 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 17.00.
