Social Workers work alongside adult social care practitioners, managers and other professionals within our countywide Locality offices, hospital settings and a specialist learning disabilities team. Social Workers have a key role in upholding the rights of people with care and support needs. Social Workers work in line with legislative frameworks to deliver strengths based, person centred practice using the three conversations model. This is often in challenging and complex situations and take a lead role in undertaking enquires to safeguard adults with care and support, balancing their rights, wishes and feelings in line with statutory duties
Assist the Team Manager in providing high quality services to people, families, and carers in accordance with relevant legislation and policy. To operate as the senior professional within the team and deputise for the Team Manager in their absence as appropriate.To undertake a range of statutory duties in accordance with legislation with adults and their carers; and provide specialist evidence-based interventions. • To provide professional consultation, direction and support to team members on existing cases daily. • Carry a caseload of individual people and families where the problems presented are consistently challenging and complex and require advanced level of skills and knowledge. • To undertake joint working on cases with team members where these are more complex and/or assisting with the development of areas of practitioner competence. • To provide practice learning opportunities to social work or occupational therapy students (and, where appropriate, AMHP trainees) by directly supervising/assessing the student

Manage and monitor an allocated workload within individual and group priorities and Council policies, and comply with the statutory obligations of the Group. 4. Maintain appropriate records of work undertaken and carry out required administrative procedures. 5. Prepare for and attend supervision sessions and staff meetings and make use of all available training and development opportunities. 6. Contribute to the evaluation and development of services and new ideas by sharing knowledge about theory, skills and practice with other social services staff, professional groups and interested bodies. 7. Supervise students where appropriate.

In addition to undertaking complex assessments and family finding. • To produce reports, attend planning meetings, panel, court, reviews, team meetings, Psychology Service meetings and inter-agency meetings as necessary or appropriate. • To mentor and support less experienced social workers. • To contribute to service and policy development and lead on identified prioritise
