Job Title:  Specialist Occupational Therapist – Band 5/6

Job details:   Community Rehabilitation Service. Onsite/Community – base can be Glastonbury, Shepton or Frome. Occupational Therapist required to start asap for 2-3 months.
Have experience of working with Older adults.
To work flexible hours to meet the needs of patients and their families.
To provide high quality patient-centred care and specialist rehabilitation to adults referred to the Rehabilitation Service.
Participate in the development of the Rehabilitation Service in the community and within the Community hospital bedded environments.
To provide advice regarding the rehabilitation management of patients to families, carers and other members of the MDT.
Responsibility for a caseload of patients within both the community and / or the community hospital bedded environment.
Carry out duties autonomously but with the ability to seek support and informal and formal supervision from Senior Therapists within the teams.
Alongside Senior clinical staff and Clinical Educator, give support, guidance and training to Senior Rehabilitation Assistants, Rehabilitation Assistants, and students on placement within the team.
To be responsible for organising, prioritising, and planning your own caseload to meet service and patient priorities, readjusting plans as situations change/arise.
To ensure that your own practice, and that of the staff under your supervision, meets the required professional standards of Physiotherapy.
To ensure your own ongoing personal/professional development.
To comply with the Trust and departmental policies and procedures
To adhere to your code of conduct
Working hours: Part time.
